There's a lot here that I've been unable to get out of my head even three days later, but there's one thing in particular: that OJ and Em needed to do this for the money. Doubly so that there was *never any question* on whether or not to continue. It had to be done. They needed the money.
What a great indictment of the general malaise that Millenials face. Our parents could work for a pre-determined amount of time and then collect a pension that kept them set for life. My generation has to piecemeal sell their family's prized possessions in order to purchase a camera set up to film something that wants to kill them in hopes that Oprah will give them enough money to make rent for the next six months.
